Get answers to common questions about Underarm waxing.

Most clients enjoy 3–6 weeks of smooth underarms; timing varies by individual hair cycle, hormones, and growth rate. Regular waxing can extend intervals as hair becomes finer and sparser over time.

Properly performed waxing rarely causes long-term darkening. Temporary redness or irritation can occur; we use soothing products, gentle technique, and recommend sun protection and targeted brightening care to prevent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in sensitive skin.

Clean and dry underarms, avoid deodorant the day of your visit, and ensure hair is roughly quarter-inch long. Exfoliate gently 48 hours before, and avoid retinoids or chemical treatments that increase sensitivity prior to waxing.

You may feel brief discomfort, but waxing is quick. Our esthetician uses calming techniques, fast strips, and optional numbing products when appropriate. Relaxation, steady breathing, and proper skin support reduce pain and speed recovery.

You need at least quarter-inch of regrowth for effective waxing, typically three to four weeks after shaving. Shaving doesn’t prevent waxing, but you must allow hair to grow long enough for the wax to grip.

Avoid waxing over open wounds, sunburn, active rashes, or recent chemical peels. Inform us about blood-thinning medications, isotretinoin use, Botox in the area, or severe sensitivity—our esthetician will recommend alternatives or a patch test.
